Today, we still turn to water for a sense of calm and clarity. We spend our vacations on the beach or at the lake; get exercise and enjoyment from water sports like surfing, scuba diving, sailing, and swimming; refresh ourselves with long showers and soothing baths, and often build our lives and homes around being near the water.
OPYC is a social club for people who enjoy a water venue with or without a boat. With views of San Francisco from the club. Members benefit from the beauty, camaraderie and peace a waterside venue brings. The club has an active calendar with dinners and themed events throughout the year.
Joining a yacht club can add an entirely new set of friends that you might not otherwise have the opportunity to meet. We spend many weekends on our boat and enjoy getting together with our dock neighbors and yacht club members. Cruising is great fun but much more fun when you are part of a group enjoying an adventure together.
Being a member of a yacht club can put you in touch with other members who can be invaluable sources of information and experience that you can access, whether it is assistance with a boat maintenance task, advice on products and marine service providers, or tips on great places to cruise. Through the yacht club as well as organizations such as the PICYA, there are many opportunities to learn about boating safety, navigation and legislation impacting recreational boating.
Looking to join a fun and social group of people that share your passion for boating, water, views and the wonderful San Francisco Bay? Consider joining the Oyster Point Yacht Club. We invite you to join us for any of our events and give us a test drive, the people are what our club is all about. Annual dues are $450.00 per year.
OPYC welcomes boaters and social members. Owning a boat is not necessary for membership. Membership also allows reciprocal privileges with 105 yacht clubs in the Bay & Delta and around the globe. Email membership director Korilyn Jensen at email@example.com for details.
